Fishducky Friday and an Editorial

I'm so excited today because it's FISHDUCKY FRIDAY!
You're gonna love it, so without further adieu, here's the famous Fishducky:

I know you’re expecting something funny from me.
This isn’t laugh out loud funny—although I hope it will make you smile.
It’s an editorial written last Christmas by my granddaughter, who is a high school senior in Connecticut.
I hope it will give you some insight as to what it’s like to be a member of my family.
Besides, a grandmother likes to brag a little!

On a side note "we've probably made fun of you at some point or another" hmm, no wonder my ears have been ringing.

Great guest post! I look forward to next friday.

  12. That was just great. Sometimes people seem shocked when I tell them that I'm friends with all six of my siblings lol...but I couldn't imagine it any other way! Blood is thicker than water and I love that my siblings are also my best friends. What a great story, thanks for sharing it and TGIF!!!!!

  14. Very well written. I am often told that my behavior is inappropriate. I find it's the best way to have fun. Congratulations to you fishducky, for having such a cool grandchild. And Elisa, I like your new background. I find it easier to read. Thank you.

    Love,
    Janie

  16. Your granddaughter sounds awesome. As does the rest of your family.

My family's not as loud and embarrassing in public but still just as fun and loving (the ones I see up here in Washington are Italian, after all ;)). Such a nice feeling :)

  21. Dear Fishducky,
All these comments are saving what I'm feeling. Which is, how happy I am that there is going to be a "Fishducky" posting each Friday on Elisa's blog. As one of the commentors said, "The acorn doesn't fall far rom the tree."

Your granddaughter writes so well. I could hear the laughter of your family in her words. What a wonderful job you and your husband have done in raising your family.

    Peace.

  25. This family is funny, very funny, but they are also goodness personified. I am blessed to know some of them and they have been my husband's friends forever. The first attribute to them from me would be kindness to all. A family with huge hearts who are crazy funny! It doesn't get much better than that and Lisa is blessed many times over as she begins her journey into adulthood.
